Why am I doing this?

What is the whole point?

The goal is to determine if eating 24 eggs a day (the most bioavailable whole-food source protein) will lead to significant muscle growth.

Additionally, I have been taking front-end coding classes for the past month and thought this would be a great project to test my skills in a real-world setting!

Who is the Eggman?

Eggman USA, baby!

25-year old lifetime natural who has been lifting consistenly for the past 4 years. Prior to that, a D1 swimmer.

Why 24 eggs a day?

Why am I eating 24 eggs a day versus the Vince Gironda 36 eggs a day method?

Vince Gironda's method of 36 eggs a day consisted of three 12-egg shakes mixed with half&half dranken throughout the day. However, what he did not know back then was that the bioavailability of protein from raw eggs is significantly less than that of cooked eggs. According to this study the bioavailability of protein from raw eggs is around 50%, compared to over 90% from cooked eggs.

Since I am cooking all of my eggs, I am actually getting 25 grams of more protein per day by consuming 66% of what Vince originally suggested. And let's be honest, 24 eggs a day is still ridiculous, let alone 36 eggs a day!

The lesson here is cook all your eggs.

How long am I doing this for?

3 weeks.

I am doing it for only 3 weeks because I honestly don't want to be eating nothing but eggs for my entire life. 3 weeks is long enough to determine if this actually is beneficial. If it is, and I am so inclined in the future to put on even more muscle, then I just might do it again, but for 6-8 weeks.
